My question is, why do I cry when I pray and as soon as I start, I start crying and my nose starts to run and I get chills. While my eyes are closed I see light and I feel so light when I’m talking to God. After I say a prayer it feels so good, but I don’t understand the feeling. Also, when I was 13 years old I got hit by a car and everything went dark, but it felt like someone was holding me. After that day I got more feeling from God like now when I pray. I feel God in me and I have dreams where God is telling me something, but I don’t know what it is. What do all these experiences mean?
From the experiences you’ve had, God has been trying to get your attention. What you feel when you pray is the Holy Spirit. The physical things you experience are your body’s reaction to that power. This is a good thing and so don’t think it’s strange. Just accept it from God and begin seeking Him. Have you committed your life to Christ? Do you know what it means to be “born again” spiritually? If God has been giving you dreams where He’s been trying to tell you something then its probably because He’s been speaking to you in other ways, but you weren’t getting it. Therefore He’s been speaking to you in dreams. Was someone talking to you about the gospel? Have you been listening to gospel programs on TV or reading your Bible? Whatever it is, for sure God wants you to understand His plan of salvation so that you can have a personal relationship with Him. The link below helps to explain God’s plan of salvation. It’s called the “Four Spiritual Laws”. If you have any more questions, please feel free to email anytime. God bless you!
