Dear Rev. How can I know God personally?

Congratulations! To know God personally for yourself is what God wants for you too! He can be known in a personal way and that happens as He reveals Himself to you.  Our part is to take care of what separates us from Him in the first place. It’s our sin that separates us from God, but we can be forgiven. God said,  ‘But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.  – Isaiah 59:2. Therefore, until our sins are forgiven we cannot know God.  Jesus died on the cross so that we could be forgiven and restored to fellowship with God. However, you must make it personal! You have to ask God to forgive you for all your sins. Then you must turn from your life of sin and live a life pleasing to God. This means to read and obey what Jesus said as recorded in the New Testament. Your motivation for doing this becomes His great love for you.

The Bible says – “Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved”.* Therefore say, ” Jesus save me!” “Jesus forgive me!” “Jesus, help me!” “Jesus give me peace!” “Jesus reveal yourself to me!”. If you really mean business with God, He will be faithful to reveal Himself to you.
