Do you have to attend church to be saved and go to heaven? Also do you have to be baptized to be saved?
No, you don’t have to go to church to be saved, nor do you have to be baptized to be saved. However, both have their purpose and it would be good for you to learn what that is. Concerning church attendance, the Bible says, “Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching” – Hebrews 10:25. Therefore you should go to church to encourage other Christians. Concerning baptism; it’s a command of Jesus who said, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” – Matthew 28:19. So if you want to please the Lord, you should do what He says.
However, you need to have a personal relationship with Jesus and be “born again” spiritually. Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, no-one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again” – John 3:3. This can happen to you if you’ll confess your sins to Him and accept Him into your life as your personal Savior from sin. He loves you and wants to have a relationship with you. The Bible says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” – 2 Corinthians 5:17. This can be yours (and heaven) if you’ll make that decision. God bless you!
