With all the bad things going on in the world how can I believe there is a God?

I understand this question quite clearly. I thought the same thing too before I came to know God. I learned that God gave control of this earth to mankind and it’s man’s freewill to do as he chooses. God never takes away man’s free will. When things like plane crashes and other accidents happen it is the result of human error. Of course, in the case of Sept. 11th it was terrorism. Earthquakes, hurricanes and other natural disasters have a scientific explanation and are not “acts of God”. As far as believing, every person must find out for themselves whether God exists or not.  If you mean business with God, He will be faithful to reveal Himself to you in a way that you can know for sure He exists. Remember though, Jesus said, “no one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).  We must come to God through Jesus Christ. When He died on the cross He paid the price for our forgiveness so that we could have access to God.
