I have this burning question for you. I took my younger brother’s life in 1996. I received 8 years state prison. Since then I have reformed myself. I repented in jail. Did the Father forgive me through Jesus his only begotten son?
The Bible says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved” – John 3:16-17.
I’m so glad you found this web site because I have good news for you! If you truly repented for your sin, and have asked Jesus to forgive you, then you are forgiven. It may seem too easy, but that’s the way God made it. He loves us so much that He sent Jesus to die on a cross for us so that all we have to do is humble ourselves and ask for forgiveness. The Bible says “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” – Romans 3:23. This places us all on the same level; we’re all sinners! Here’s what the Bible says about salvation: “if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved” – Romans 10:9-10.
Once you’ve asked Jesus Christ to forgive you, it’s important to change your ways. Jesus said to an adulterous women to “sin no more”. Therefore, we must demonstrate our repentance by turning from sin. By the way, the first man Jesus forgave on the cross was a criminal!
