Hello Reverend. I have question that I’ve always wanted answered. Is judging a sin or not and if it is then doesn’t that make everyone sinners including people that go to church every Sunday and pray every night? I’m just wondering, I’m not trying to start a fight or anything it’s just something I’ve always wondered about.
It’s wrong if a person judges someone else and condemns them. Jesus said, “Do not judge, or you too will be judged” – Matthew 7:1. It’s the condemning part that’s wrong. However, if a person makes a judgment concerning the trustworthiness of a person, there’s nothing wrong with that. We all have to be careful in our relationships. We just have to be sure we have all the facts and know the truth. Jesus said, “Stop judging by mere appearances, and make a right judgment” – John 7:24. Concerning everyone being sinners, that statement is true. We are all sinners as the Bible says, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” – Romans 3:23. That’s why we all need God’s forgiveness and that’s why Jesus died on the cross so that we could be forgiven. The link below helps to explain this. God bless you!
